Waltco GT series, GT-55 Slide-Away Gate. Large level ride platform makes it ideal for a wide variety of trailer distribution applications. Stored completely underneath the trailer, the GT Slide-Away Gate does not add to trailer length and requires no modification of trailer sills, OEM lights or door hardware. 5,500 lbs capacity, 70x 80+ 12 ramp folding, 2,051 lbs weight. STANDARD GT SERIES ADVANTAGES INCLUDE: Can be mounted on trailers with either swing-type or roll up doors; Does not add to trailer length, making it ideal for 53-foot trailer applications; Mounts easily to most dry-freight and refrigerated trailers; Requires no modification of trailer sills up to 21 1/4 deep, and no moving of OEM lights or door hardware; Requires only 64 1/2 to 77 1/2 behind the rear axle for mounting; Large, single-fold, level ride platform featuring a rugged steel main section and a lightweight aluminum folding section; Stores completely underneath the trailer eliminating the potential for backing damage at loading docks; It allows you to completely seal at cushioned docks; Since it is shipped completely assembled and tested from the factory; installation is significantly simplified; Bolt on design allows easy removal and/or transfer; Powder coat finish on key liftgate components produces a high-quality finish that is exceptionally resistant to corrosion and abrasion. OTHER STANDARD FEATURES: Thermally protected power unit safeguards liftgate motor from damage due to heat build-up; Reduced Maintenance features including: self-lubricating, fiberglass-reinforced Teflon bearings at key pivot points and closed-loop hydraulic system; Factory-installed fully-sealed raise/lower, open/close switches.
